Fun little quad, got here pretty fast

So I decided to try out one of these tiny drones, grabbed a Nanofly16. It was pretty easy to order, the website was clear enough. It showed up in about a week, which was cool since I was eager to get it flying. Setting it up wasn't too bad either. I've been zipping it around my backyard, and it's a blast. Definitely enjoying it, totally worth it for some casual flying around.

Good value for a new drone

I was looking for a new micro quad and found the DollyFly16 HD O4 Pro here. The price was competitive, especially with a new customer discount I found. It felt like a solid deal for the specs. Shipping was free because my order was over $150, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I think I got good value for my money. The drone works as expected.

Decent quad, minor shipping delay

I ordered the OasisFly35 DC HD O4 Pro. The drone itself is solid, flies well, and the video quality is pretty good. It took about 10 days to reach me in California, which was a bit longer than I hoped for, but not terrible. The packaging was secure, everything arrived in good shape. I did have a small question about the battery connector which customer service cleared up quickly. Overall, a good experience, just wish shipping was a touch faster.

Thinking of switching from a BetaFPV Pavo20 to a Sub250 Nanofly20. Anyone made a similar switch? How do they compare?

J Jason Turner 1 week ago
I went from a Happymodel Mobula7 to a Nanofly16. The build quality on the Sub250 felt a bit more robust, and the flight performance was really dialed in out of the box.

The Nanofly20 is solid. Sub250 generally focuses on more refined flying characteristics for those lighter weights. You might find it a bit smoother than some BetaFPV quads, though both are good brands.

Hey guys, thinking about getting a Nanofly20. How long does shipping usually take to California? Really want to fly it soon.

B Ben Robinson 2 weeks ago
Mine took about a week and a half to get to me in LA. Seemed pretty standard for FPV stuff from these guys.

Yeah, I got my DollyFly16 in like 8-9 days to Portland. They ship from within the US so it's not ages like some other places.

Anyone know if the first order discount stacks with the bundle deals? Wanna grab a drone and some spare props but not sure if I can get both discounts.

B Betty Rodriguez 3 weeks ago
Nah, pretty sure their coupons don't stack. Tried it with a Black Friday deal once and it only let me use one.

I think generally most FPV stores are like that. One code per order. You usually gotta pick the better discount.

Just curious, is Sub250 a legit brand? Never heard of them until recently but their drones look pretty good.

J Jacob Jones 1 week ago
Yeah, they're legit. Been around for a bit, focusing on those lightweight quads. Good quality stuff, especially for the price.

S Sam Clark 4 days ago
Totally legit. My OasisFly35 is awesome. They're known for making drones that are actually under 250g, which is super handy for regulations.

Need to return a battery I ordered by mistake. How's their return process? Is it a hassle?

S Sofia 1 month ago
It was pretty straightforward for me when I returned a faulty VTX. Just follow their instructions on the site and you should be good.

yeah returns were easy, did it last month for some props I didn't need anymore. Got my refund quick.

Which is better for cinematic shots, the DollyFly or the OasisFly? Hard to tell from the descriptions.

L Leah Wright 1 week ago
The OasisFly usually has bigger props and a bit more power for carrying heavier cameras or just smoother flight for cinematic stuff. DollyFly is more compact.

L Laura Jackson 1 week ago
For cinematic, I'd lean towards the OasisFly35. It's got that 3.5 inch prop which just feels more stable for those smooth takes compared to the smaller DollyFlys.

Are their drones like the DollyFly25 actually under 250 grams with a battery? Or is it like without the battery?

Z Zach Parker 3 weeks ago
They're designed to be under 250g even with a recommended battery. That's kinda their whole thing, to meet those regulations.

A Anthony Scott 2 weeks ago
Yep, that's what 'sub250' means in their name. You're safe to fly most of their stuff without registration, assuming you're using the right battery.
